About Howl & Harmony

More than karaoke. A space for music, connection, and shared experience.

Why This Exists

Howl & Harmony wasn’t created to be another karaoke service.

It was created out of a belief that music does something deeper—that it helps people open up, connect, and share moments that don’t happen any other way.

We’ve all been in rooms where people hold back. And we’ve all felt the shift when someone finally steps forward and sings.

That moment—when the room changes, when people lean in, when something real happens—that’s what this is about.

What Makes This Different

Anyone can set up a microphone and press play.

What we do is different.

We guide the flow of the night. We read the room. We create an environment where people feel comfortable stepping in—whether they’re confident performers or trying it for the first time.

It’s not about being the best singer. It’s about being part of something.

Our Approach

Every event has its own energy.

Some nights are loud and celebratory. Some are quieter, more intentional. Some sit somewhere in between.

We shape the experience around that energy—so the night feels natural, not forced.

No pressure. No awkward transitions. Just a flow that helps people relax and be present.

Who’s Behind It

Howl & Harmony is led by Mel “Wolfie” Maas—someone who understands both structure and energy, and how to guide a room without forcing it.

With a background in leadership, operations, and building systems that support people at scale, Mel brings a deep understanding of how environments shape behavior—how the right structure helps people feel comfortable enough to step forward, and how the wrong one can cause them to hold back.

But beyond structure, there’s something more important: presence.

The ability to read a room. To sense when energy is building—or when it needs space. To create an environment where people feel safe enough to show up as they are.

That’s what sits at the heart of Howl & Harmony.

This isn’t about running karaoke. It’s about holding a space where something real can happen—where someone who didn’t plan to sing finds themselves stepping up, where a shared moment turns into something people remember, where the room shifts in a way you can feel.

That balance—between guidance and freedom, structure and flow—is what turns a night into an experience.

At the end of the day, this comes down to a simple belief:
when people are given the right space, they show up more fully.

Music just happens to be the way we get there.

Around here, we call it finding your voice—and finding your place in the pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does booking work?

Start by filling out the form on our site. We’ll follow up within 24 hours to learn more about your event and help shape the experience.

What kind of space do you need?

We work in indoor environments where the sound, energy, and atmosphere can be fully supported.

If you’re unsure whether your space is a good fit, we’re happy to talk it through and help you find the best setup.

Do you offer outdoor events?

Howl & Harmony is designed specifically for those types of indoor environments. Outdoor or open-air settings don’t allow us to deliver the experience we’re known for.

Is this suitable for kids?

Howl & Harmony is designed for adult and teen-friendly spaces.

  • We do not host events designed for younger children under 13.
  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This helps us protect the equipment and maintain the quality of the experience for everyone involved.

Do people have to sing?

Not at all. Some people come ready to perform, others prefer to listen or join in with a group. Both are part of the experience.

What kind of music is available?

We use a large, regularly updated library with a wide range of genres and eras. If there’s something specific you want included, we’ll do our best to make it happen.

How long does a typical event last?

Most events fall between 2–4 hours, depending on the experience you choose.

Do you provide the equipment?

Yes. We bring everything needed for the experience—sound system, microphones, and hosting.

Can you travel to my event?

Yes, within our service area. Travel outside that area can be discussed as part of your booking.

What if I’m not sure which experience I need?

That’s completely normal. We’ll talk it through and help you find the right fit.
